Since Axel and I were on our own we were seeking something romantic. Surprisingly, Ethiopia had a place to provided just that. Haile took us in his sweet ride and we were on our way to Kuriftu.
The drive was so magical, as we looked out on to the teff fields (the wheat-like grass that makes injera), whilst listening to Bob Marley. As we drove north to the resort we also saw the storm clouds roll in. The perfect setting for desert dwellers. 
The food was incredible, the kayaking was fun, and the spa was amazingly good. It was $30 USD each for 1.5 hours of sheer heaven. What I wouldn't give to take one of those girls home with me. 
Next trip we will spend the majority of our time at Kuritfu. It was a pleasant escape to nature and serenity. Love.
