If there is one thing I have learned about traveling with kids it is that if you are going to get something out of the trip for you, you have to make it about them. That is why we devoted an entire morning at the Cite des Enfants just to balance out the museum hopping we did the day before. When Xavier heard it was like a science 'museum' he imagined a plethora of framed art all over again and said 'Awe, really?' After we arrived, he quickly changed his attitude.
There is a Cite des Enfants in Dubai and it always intrigued me. Every time I went by, the $75 per child ticket always deterred me (it isn't nearly as expensive in Paris). Too bad, cause it is awesome. The kids loved every single minute.
Sedona loved the live stage with instruments and speakers. It was a 4 year old diva's dream come true.
Heavah's delight was the butterfly house. She had to discuss the unique qualities of each butterfly and tried to tempt them to land on her finger. She is her father's daughter.
Xavier loved the water exhibit. Why wouldn't he? It is a perfect excuse to get soaked and shoot balls out of water guns. Awesome.
Asa love it all. That is why I only have one picture of him. The rest of the time he was racing around pointing from one side of the room to the other. It was a 3 year old's heaven.
The moral of the story: Pay the money and visit the Cite des Enfants in Dubai. Smiling faces, discovering science, releasing energy? So worth it.
