Yesterday Asa came running to me in the kitchen. He repeatedly said 'see, see, see' and proceeded with a hand gesture to make me follow him. A first. I followed him and he pointed to the wall and said 'beuful, beuful'. A first. His artwork was all over the white wall in our dining room. A first.
In response, I grabbed him and beamed with pride. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. I must be a seasoned mother.
Which ultimately reminded me of my other children and their experiences drawing on walls. This time, my response? A first.
